The brief
Harborline runs its awards in a different city each year and was tired of renting a new set every time. They asked for a stage they could own.
The room
We built a modular birch stage and backdrop that packs into two sprinter vans and sets up in four hours. It now lives in our shop between shows, under their name.
The show
Fourteen awards in 58 minutes, walk-up music for each winner and a lectern that disappears when the band starts.
The numbers
Scenic build $46,000 once, then $38,000 per show for production and crew. Strike finished before the last guests left the lobby.
